TERMS & CONDITIONS
Last updated: 12 September 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Privital Detailing (“Privital”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By booking or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
1. BOOKINGS
All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.
When making a booking, you agree to provide accurate contact and vehicle information. Privital reserves the right to contact you if further information is required before your appointment.
A booking is not considered confirmed until it has been accepted by Privital and any required upfront payment has been received.
2. PAYMENTS
Approximately 50% of the booking total is required upfront to secure your appointment.
The remaining balance is due upon completion of the service.
Accepted payment methods may include those displayed during the booking process or otherwise communicated by Privital.
All prices are subject to change. The price applicable to your confirmed booking will generally be honoured unless the scope of work changes.
3. CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING
Privital understands that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is:
24+ hours before your appointment: No cancellation fee.
Within 24 hours: 25% booking fee.
Within 1 hour or failure to attend: 50% booking fee.
Genuine emergencies may be considered at Privital’s discretion.
Repeated cancellations, rescheduling or no-shows may result in future bookings requiring full payment upfront or being declined.
4. MOBILE SERVICE REQUIREMENTS
Privital is a mobile detailing service and does not carry its own water or power supply.
Customers must provide reasonable access to a suitable water supply and electrical power outlet at the service location.
If suitable water or power is unavailable, Privital may be unable to complete the service. Where possible, we will discuss alternatives with you before proceeding.
The customer is responsible for ensuring safe and reasonable access to the vehicle and service area.
5. VEHICLE ACCESS & PREPARATION
The vehicle must be accessible at the agreed appointment time.
Please remove valuable, fragile or personal belongings from the vehicle before the appointment.
Privital is not responsible for personal items left inside the vehicle.
Child seats, specialised equipment or other items that require removal may need to be removed by the customer before the service.
6. VEHICLE CONDITION
The condition of a vehicle can affect the time, price and results of a service.
Heavy contamination, excessive dirt, mud, stains, pet hair, sand, mould, spills, biohazards or other unusual conditions may require additional time or incur additional charges.
Privital will communicate any significant additional work or charges where reasonably possible before proceeding.
7. STAINS, ODOURS & CONTAMINATION
Detailing can significantly improve the appearance and condition of a vehicle; however, not every stain, mark, odour or contamination can be completely removed.
Results depend on the type, age and severity of the contamination and the condition of the affected material.
Privital does not guarantee complete removal of stains, odours, pet hair, mould, embedded dirt or other contaminants.
8. EXISTING DAMAGE & VEHICLE CONDITION
Privital is not responsible for damage or defects that existed before the service commenced.
This may include, but is not limited to:
Scratches or paint defects
Stone chips
Cracked or damaged panels
Loose or deteriorated components
Faded, peeling or damaged surfaces
Damaged leather, vinyl, plastics or fabric
Existing water leaks
Weak or failing adhesives
Previously repaired or repainted areas
Where appropriate, Privital may photograph the vehicle before commencing work to document its condition.
9. PAINTWORK & EXTERIOR SERVICES
Standard exterior detailing is intended to clean and improve the presentation of the vehicle.
Cleaning does not guarantee the removal of scratches, swirl marks, oxidation, etching, water spots, paint defects or other permanent imperfections.
Where a service involves polishing, paint correction or other specialist work, the scope and expected results will be discussed separately.
Privital will not knowingly perform work that presents an unreasonable risk of damage to a vehicle’s paintwork or components.
10. INTERIOR SERVICES
Interior detailing is performed using products and methods considered suitable for the relevant materials based on their apparent condition.
Older, weakened, damaged or deteriorated materials may react differently to cleaning.
Privital is not responsible for pre-existing deterioration, colour loss, cracking, peeling, staining or damage that becomes apparent during reasonable cleaning of such materials.
11. PET HAIR & EXCESSIVE CONTAMINATION
Pet hair removal and heavily contaminated vehicles may require additional time and specialised techniques.
Where pet hair or contamination is significantly beyond normal detailing conditions, additional charges may apply.
Privital will communicate additional charges where reasonably possible before carrying out the additional work.
12. WEATHER & SERVICE CONDITIONS
As a mobile detailing business, Privital may need to postpone or modify a service due to unsuitable weather or working conditions.
This may include heavy rain, extreme temperatures, high winds, unsafe conditions or conditions that may compromise the quality of the service.
Where a service cannot reasonably be completed due to weather or site conditions, Privital may reschedule the appointment without applying a cancellation fee.
13. SERVICE RESULTS
Privital takes care to achieve the best possible result within the agreed service.
However, results cannot be guaranteed where the condition, age, material or contamination of a vehicle prevents complete restoration.
The customer acknowledges that detailing is a cleaning and appearance-improvement service and does not necessarily restore a vehicle to new or factory condition.
14. SAFETY & RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE
Privital reserves the right to refuse, stop or modify a service where conditions are considered unsafe, unreasonable or outside the intended scope of the service.
This may include hazardous substances, unsafe locations, aggressive animals, dangerous vehicle conditions, electrical hazards or other circumstances that may place people, property or equipment at risk.
Where a service is stopped due to unsafe conditions, any applicable charges will be assessed based on the circumstances.
15. PERSONAL PROPERTY
Customers are responsible for removing valuables and personal belongings from their vehicle before the service.
Privital is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property left inside a vehicle.
16. PHOTOGRAPHY & MARKETING
Privital may take photographs or videos of vehicles before, during and after a service for quality control, documentation and marketing purposes.
Where photographs or videos are used publicly, Privital will take reasonable steps to avoid displaying personal information such as registration details or other identifying information.
If you do not wish your vehicle to be photographed or used for marketing purposes, please notify Privital before the service.
17. DAMAGE & LIABILITY
Privital takes reasonable care when performing all services.
To the extent permitted by law, Privital is not liable for pre-existing damage, deterioration, defects, weaknesses or conditions that are unrelated to the service provided.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under Australian law.
Where damage is alleged to have been caused by Privital, the customer should notify Privital as soon as reasonably possible and provide relevant details and photographs where available.
18. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
Customers agree to:
Provide accurate booking information.
Provide suitable water and power.
Ensure reasonable access to the vehicle.
Remove valuable and fragile belongings.
Disclose relevant vehicle conditions or known issues.
Follow reasonable instructions provided by Privital.
Treat Privital staff and equipment with reasonable care and respect.
19. SERVICE CHANGES & ADDITIONAL WORK
If additional work is required beyond the original booking, Privital may recommend an adjusted service, additional time or additional charges.
No significant additional charge will be intentionally applied without reasonable communication with the customer where practicable.
20. PRIVITAL MAINTENANCE SERVICES
Maintenance services are intended to help maintain the condition achieved through previous detailing.
The level of work required may vary depending on the vehicle’s condition and the time since its previous service.
Privital may recommend a more comprehensive detail where a maintenance service is no longer suitable for the vehicle’s condition.
21. PROMOTIONS & DISCOUNTS
Promotional offers, discounts and special pricing may be subject to additional terms.
Unless otherwise stated, promotions cannot be combined with other offers and may be withdrawn or changed at any time.
22. PRIVACY
Privital may collect and use customer information required to provide services, manage bookings, process payments and communicate with customers.
Customer information will be handled in accordance with Privital’s Privacy Policy.
